Refining method: Dehydrate with metallic sodium or anhydrous calcium sulfate and then fractionate under reduced pressure. You can also dissolve 150g of tetraethylenepentamine in 300mL of 95% ethanol, and gradually drop in 180mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid while cooling, keeping the temperature below 20°C. Filter out the white precipitate, recrystallize it three times with a mixture of ethanol and water, wash with ether, and dry under vacuum to obtain pure tetraethylenepentamine hydrochloride.

Purpose
